Tomato Boosters?

Does anyone have a non-traditional ingredient that they add when planting tomatoes and swear by?

When I was young I had an uncle who always started tomatoes in the house and set them out when they were about a foot tall. He would dig a fairly deep hole, drop in a glop of fresh fish innards, cover it over with about two inches of loose soil and then set the plant on top and finish filling the hole up until the plant was about half buried. He grew fabulous tomatoes and when I have the fish cleanings I do the same thing.

Quite of few of people in this area swear by horse manure.
But then again there's a lot of horses around here so maybe that's why they swear so much...

I recall folks using smelts in the garden..they running right now as are the Rainbow trout. Fish works awesome in the garden..

Just a slight dusting of cinnamon right after planting and watering the seeds in the starter tray.

I dig a deep hole and toss a shovel of compost then some dirt. Pinch off the first leaves then plant.
