Like Daniel said Parts are getting scarce.
This is the heater I'm considering for my cab.

Be very careful. This Shibaura machine may have dropped support from New Holland and parts are getting harder to find since 2020. My neighbor has the 1500 and he's had a hard time finding parts. With that said, there are cross references to both Yanmar, Satoh, Mitsubishi and Hinomoto machines for some general maintenance parts like filters, fuel bowls, starters, alternators and VRs. Other than that, its a bit harder. For example, rear brake shoes.

There are some parts network sources I have for a few items to keep the machine going.

I do have the full service manual in PDF for this machine, however this site has an extremely tight upload limit on files here. The other tractor forums are at 20Mb max.

So son is buying this tractor. We feel it’s a reasonable tractor. We know it runs. And we saw it blowing snow.

So, yas pays yer money and take yers chances. Don’t matter what you buy.

Can a person burn furnace oil in it instead of diesel fuel ? Self serve furnace oil $1.71 per litre and diesel $2.34 per litre.

Anybody have a operator manual for it.
Ford 1210.

Congratulations on the purchase. Those Japanese tractors have a good reputation and deserve it. I got a lot of good use out of my Mitsubishi and the Son in-law still is.

My first thought is yes. BUT! I don't know the difference (if any) between furnace oil and #2 diesel. If furnace oil has sulfur in it, it might actually be better for it. Those older Diesels were designed to run on fuels with sulfur which helps lubricate things like the fuel pump. When they took the sulfur out I started running Marvel Mystery oil in the fuel to help with the lubrication.

Try these out, pt 1 & 2.The loader is a Ford 768A or B. Haven't found anything there yet.

EDIT: Just looked at the pics again, no loader.

You guys will like it .
You can run #2 fuel oil in it but you're going to find that the little amount of fuel it uses you may just run the real stuff and feel better about it...

And also I don't believe heating oil is treated as in for gelling in extreme cold weather so that may leave you out.

Its not an emission generation engine, so you can blend diesel with whatever works. Since furnace oil is a tad thicker, not by much you could get away with 40/60 of diesel/furnace-oil blend. Just be sure to have a new fuel filter, o-ring and bowl. It uses the same filters as the Yanmar SCUT machines.

I got the shop manual for it too. Too big to upload here as it's 23Mb.
