I will be resurrecting this pump.

After finding this the last time I tried to get it going, I have a set of gears coming from Brian1000. Hope to see them tomorrow.

Should of gotten them long ago.

Out of curiosity, what oil would you folks use in this? Trans fluid? 20W hydraulic oil?

Went back to the original thread of installing this on the Cub and 30W was recommended. I looked through my pics and found one of the lable, looks like 10W on there.

I really wouldn’t know. But after working on these Case tractors and it’s always called hydraulic drive or hydraulic lift, but hydraulic oil is not suppose to be used in them, can ruin internal parts, so I’ve read. You must use motor oil they say.
My Ford YT16H tractor, is hydrostatic and calls for 20w motor oil.
So I don’t really know, but if it was me, I’d use a light weight motor oil.
Just my guess Kenny.

I got the Cub out today, under the canopy right now. Drained the old gas (last time I messed with it was 4 years ago). Cleaned the points, put some Seafoam & MMO in the tank with a little gas. Tried to start, found the starter/generator was not in the best condition. Went out back and got the one off the 104. Put that on and it starts great considering the choke cable is rusted and not working. Waiting for the pump drive belt to arrive.

That system would not of had synthetic oil in it when it was new. So will it make any difference. ? I know absolutely nothing thing about synthetic oils. Never used them. Why would you use synthetic instead of normal oil. ? Just a wondering.

I haven't a clue either, but hard to find regular oil that thin. Pump seems to like it so far.
