He's in Regina, about 300 miles south of me. He had "Betty" out for a couple of cruisin' Saturdays but hasn't hit any shows yet this year. If I remember correctly he was thinking of doing a little work on her, something about tweaking along the bottom of the driver's door paint job. Apparently he noticed some little irregularity there that he wants to deal with before it turns into a problem. He was not impressed when I dared to say that it's a long way from her engine. The man has no sense of humour, LOL!

Simple and still gets you where you want to go. More proof we don't need computer control
Nice looking ‘56! That Ford “carbeque” is cool too. I guess it would technically be a truckbeque, but that doesn’t sound as good.
I agree, I would take one of them over any new vehicle. I don’t want the computer controlled junk either, or the unnecessary options most new ones have. Just more stuff to break, and it’s usually not cheap to fix.

Which is exactly why I have a truck down to a bare frame as we speak, getting ready to send the body (in pieces) to be painted.

Separate switch for everything not a 27 in 1 "multi function switch"
Stick shift besides all the computer crap it doesn't have so therefore can't cause problems
