What are you currently working on??

And on the tractor. And a little trial run.

Can't wait to see it in action, Noel! Looks like you have the same refreshments I have, but you need a bigger fridge!

DAC

Holds 24 Doug. That’s enough these days, but years ago, that would be a different story.
I bought that fridge for my mother twenty years ago or so, when she went into a community care home.

Cut up all the wood in the trailer today, that I got last Saturday. Took about 1 1/2 hours.

Gunna use the electric wood splitter on the wood I cut up yesterday, hopefully. Get a start at it any way. Gotta find a place to put the split wood when done. So have to cut some grass in a new spot and put some plywood down for a base to set wood on. The old spot I was storing wood is getting over grown with trees.

Trimmed branches off a Mulberry tree by the garden. Goats went after the branches with leaves. Sprayed the neighbors thistles. Sprayed some wild grape vines in a fence row. Cut and put Tordon on the stub of some vines growing up some dead Poplar trees. Want to cut the dead trees down but a few Woodpeckers have their home in them.

Some pictures of old wood storing place and new one.
Sunshine over half of the day in new spot. Old spot was only the last of the day.

I found the bearing wasn't seated all the way into the pulleys and then the drive pulley wasn't tightening up, I either need a spacer or another pulley fit the shaft.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a case front push blade with the frame at an auction for $25. It had been sitting out in the weeds and mud so the bottom for the frame and blade mount were pitted bad. Taking the grinder and wire wheel to get them into shape. The blade is 54" wide it needs a new wear edge, that is on order. The blade had hit something hard at one time the mounts have pushed into the front part of the blade 1/8". I am planning on welding a 3" wide strap across the front of the blade that will butt up next to the wear edge to reinforce the blade. I had pictures on my old phone, I will have to take some pictures with the new phone and post.

I was able to get a couple of pictures to work, Here is the blade in the back of the pickup; IMG_20200718_163819982.jpg And here is one with the frame mount attached to the tractor IMG_20200803_163103773_HDR.jpg I have small hydraulic cylinder I am planning on using to make it a power angle blade by using the hydraulic valve on the fender used to power a tiller.

Yesterday was clean up and repair day. Hauled a bag of cat food down to the barn with the Ranger. Carried two wood pallets out of the basement, down to the feeding floor to rebuild the pyramid for the goats. Old water heater, dehumidifier and rear end for a Bolens tube frame with a busted axle housing down to the scrap yard. Cleaned up a fountain pump and put new filter in it. New batteries in 4 trail cameras so they are ready to go out. Watched the Xfinity race at Road America in Wisconsin. Then the first cup race in Michigan International Speedway. NASCAR's new restart line up position rule really make things interesting but they need a cone or arrow to indicate where it is at as hard for the drivers to see when only painted on the flat tract.
