I'd grab them both! The valve set is worth the asking price for the tractor. Axles are different from the 100 series to the 55 series, but the Peerless center is the same. Spare hydro parts can be priceless. Down this far south I don't really need a blower though.

Back at 17yrs of age I rode my Honda twin down to Bowling Green to Beech Bend Dragway. I pulled the mufflers to sound all mighty and powerful. First thing I did when I got home was to put the mufflers back on. I think the ringing in my ears today was due to that ride down there! :rolleyes:

I always loved the sound of an Onan twin resonating, but these days I love the sound of diesel power even more! But I have to admit, the thump of a gas single still is music for the soul, especially when you're running lower rpm's and letting her lug down a bit!

Reel mowers won't cut tall grass. Won't handle much over 3/4 the height of the reel itself or the tall stuff just gets layed down and slides beneath it.

Foam is factory placed. Only seen it a handful of times. Not truly needed, but does all but stop fuel seeping from cap on a too full tank.

I need to mow, but it's rained some almost every day the last week! I'm not complaining though! Being I work on people's stuff, I always have plenty of backup machines, but then I have plenty myself. I have 3 machines I plan to sell next spring, then my real backup mower is my 60" cut John...

Watching you work on your projects makes me even more certain that in a few years I will stop, or at least severely cut back working on other people's stuff so that I can finally find time and energy to return to my own projects that have had to be moth-balled the last several years.

I love all diesel's and front end loaders. Sure makes for easier and safer working, or as with us getting older or having impairments, they make it possible to do some work that without a loader, we couldn't do the jobs at all!

But do you know how hard it is to clean that tar outta this huge kettle?? If I wasn't tired I'd stop and get Josh at Harrodsburg and head north with the kettle yet!!

Ok, I took the pot of tar off the fire! But one of these days you should treat yourself to something similar at least. You only live on this earth once!
