This followed me home today The stick shift is broke off and tractor locked in gear. Any advice on that welcome. I needed a project now that i leaning into retirement..working 2 or 3 nights a week the past month.
I’ve wanted a vintage Wheelhorse for some time and this one popped up on FB while i was scrolling through Marketplace..i was on it like white on rice!

The trans is pretty easy to rebuild. The only issue is the inboard axle bearings are propietary and only available from Toro. Everything else is generic.

I'm a Wheel Horse guy but have not worked on anything that old. Does the tranny split lengthwise like the later ones?

I like these but the hubcaps but they could break the bank…I had never seen these caps but would look great on a restored tractor.
