I finally drug this one back out of the weeds to get it in a better spot and covered (again,it was covered until I needed the tarps elsewhere).
This tractor is built like a tank. Angle iron frame twice the size of the angle iron used on a Wheel Horse frame, narrowed automotive rear axle with drum brakes and 16 inch rear wheels,3 speed automotive trans, automotive steering box, etc.
The sheetmetal used to make the hood is as thick what's used in most pan style rider frames.
I'm told it originally used a Wisconsin engine.
It has a pair of clamp on dual rear wheels but somewhere along the way the clamps have disappeared.
Even the front axle and spindles are made from scratch.
It also uses to have a very heavy weight box setup in the rear that has disappeared somewhere along with part of the seat.
This old tractor is a testament to someone's workmanship and ingenuity and testament to workmanship and ingenuity of days gone by in general.
I would love to know some more history on this machine.
I do know the last few owners of this tractor.
I may have to make some phones to see what else I can find out about it.
I haven't taken time to even start to identify the automotive parts on it to see what they are from.
Anyway it would be a cool old rig to sandblast, paint and throw and engine and good tires on.
It would be fun to use around home and a great historical piece for shows.

it kinda looks like that one in popular mechanics plans, If you planning on doing something with it I think light scuffing and clear coat would preserve the history rather than painting shiny new.

Jabel its way past that point lol.
It has been painted many times over the decades, cut on,different engines adapted, etc.
I think it would be a great one to sandblast, and paint, repower, and adapt. 3 point hitch too.
;)

When you see it all stripped down it looks so easy...Very cool piece.
Curious what it's using for the trans and rear...?

Definitely cool.....I think I would strip it down and reinforce the frame, especially where they cut the notches in the angle iron rails. Looks pretty weak there.

the person you need to contact is jim who was member "classic" on gt talk. he would be able to identify all the parts and pieces you have
Jabel if I would take the time it would be pretty easy.
Its covered up and not near the front of the list right now and honestly it's far enough down the list that it's actually listed for sale.
