A little more plowing with Grunt

Quite a bit wetter today. Grunt was losing traction on left rear wheel. I should have let some air out of it, but oh well. Dirt was sticking to Plow making it harder to pull. I was a bit deep too, so I took it up to 5.5”. Any way shes all plowed.

I usually plow about 5", no more. Need to do that yet. Lost a couple 1/2 days on water line projects. Carolyn wants to go to an auction tomorrow. Auction guy we know well has been in the business for 40 years. Stuff that didn't sell he would buy and is not clearing it all out. Plus a lot of their personal stuff. Should be interesting.

Well I am glad someone is getting to do some plowing.
The plow day for tomorrow got canceled. Posting on Facebook said see you next year!
Man you make some pretty furrows!

Jumpins Rick. All the waiting you did and no Plow day. That’s to bad. You did a lot of prep work and getting ready too. That’s sad. I was sure looking forward to your pictures.
Hehe. You could come here, I’ll find you somewhere to plow.

Thanks for the offer. What's the fee to ferry over to the island? Or should I fly everything in?
Contacted another person that plans on a plow day on the 30th. If things ever dry up and he gets his beans in.
And may have two more on the following Saturdays. Weather permitting.
I have two new set-ups and I'm anxious to get them fine tuned.
I don't want to be that guy that no one wants to follow!!

Cheaper by the ferry. No charge for the ride to the island. But gotta pay to get off the island. That’s when you go to the bridge when you leave, bridge fare less than ferry. Don’t ask why ! Hehe.
Well hopefully you get to plow, and we get to see pictures. That will be great.

Bing maps says 1652 miles/23:41 hours to Charlottetown. 8 mile long bridge!
If I don't get to plow soon I'll let you know when to keep an eye out for me. :D:D

Now, since I've never busted any sod for planting purposes, Is the operator of the tractor or the tractor itself the most important part of getting such straight furrows?

Noel, It looks like you took a chalk line and snapped lines to follow! It's hard for me to imagine that a furrow can be so precisely straight! Great job you and Grunt!

That's an impressive bridge to get to PEI too!
