The owner said he got about 40 messages as soon as the post went live.
I'm the one who snagged it though.
96 Craftsman GT with a 20hp Kohler V twin and a heavy duty HydroGear hydro transaxle with horizontal input pulley, spin on filter and external hydro hoses.
I really like the steel hood and grill and mount as opposed to the common plastic grill and mount that is always broke.
This tractor appears to have been well cared for.
The previous owner said that he had owned it the last 5 years or so and his dad had,had it the 10 years before that.
These are pretty decent machines as newer GTs go.
They only thing that was optional that I wish it had is electric lift.
It had a fuel line that had gotten hard and pinched almost completely shut from 24 years of being in a tightly routed area.
I replaced that and gave it a quick carb cleaning.
It runs and drives nice but the steering is loose and if I turn hard left it hangs up.
So when I get time I think I have some steering gear work to do.
It will clean up well and probably even wax out good.
I think it will make a good work horse around here.
