i have got a minimum of 10 actuators ranging from 24 Volt DC to 240 AC a lot are 36 V dc though and ranging from 6" to 24"strike length which could be useful

thought i might try and convert 1 or 2 into 12 Volt types and have done with success IMG_20180824_105211.jpgIMG_20180824_105232.jpg

this 1 is a 6" length wind strike , i used a childs electric scooter 12V motor as they have the isolated earth for reversing the polarity and had a small round brass block that i drilled out to suit both shafts .

The motor end of the adaptor i threaded side screwed to lock it on the flat side of the shaft the gear end i pressed on the shaft tightly to marry the shafts together ,

the reduction is 25-:-1 which i think is slow enough for most uses , but not super powerful though light to medium use applications probably
