One summer years ago I was in Canada, some town north of Toronto, I couldn't believe all the old cars everywhere. I remember talking to some dude and he explained that there is nothing else to do in the winter except to drink beer and restore cars in your heated garage

Great cars and trucks, Noel! It's so cool there's so many car and truck enthusiasts on PEI!
Thanks for the pics!

I sure think they are onto a good plan!

The biggest car show of the year in this area has been going on since Wednesday, final day tomorrow. It's called "Cool Deadwood Nights". That's about 45 miles northwest of where we live. There is usually over 700 pre-1973 cars registered for judging and many more show up for the fun of it. There is also a 3 day classic car auction at one of the resorts up there that has over 200 cars being sold in it.

My brother-in-law and wife is up there with his "pro-touring" 1970 Chevelle convertible. He's got a dozen hot rods and this is probably the biggest investment. I told him soon as it was done I hate the wheels and tires, but he claims the brakes are so big he has to have big wheels for the clearance.
The place is too mobbed for me and there are only two, twisty two lane roads to get in and out of Deadwood, so getting there can be a pretty big traffic jam.

Ya. Nice Chevelle. But. The wheels are nasty. Funny how my son and I are. I can’t stand big wheels and lowered. And that’s what he likes , to a point. I’ll have to keep working on him.
hehe.

Ive never had the budget to be messing around with cars much but Ive a couple nice old classics... '66 Pontiac Parisiene rag top, 65 Chevy Impala 2 dr hard top.... and one that most wont recognize... 63 Renault Caravelle rag top plus removable hardtop, 1000cc rear engine and 4 wheel disc brakes... interior was a mess but it ran fine, it was a fun little car.

Same color my 66 Cuda was. I like it.
If you have pictures, Chris, it would be fun to see them! This car was my BIL father's and I think grandfather before that! Of course BIL had to hot rod up the poly 318. He did keep the 3 on the tree though! It had fender skirts on it when his dad was driving it.

I should have done this years ago but I'll see if I can find the photos. Thinking there's one of the 36 Dodge Bros. humped back delivery in there also.
