Allis deck on to the Country Squire

Got the deck off the Allis this morning it looks ok the LH blade was hitting the baffle a couple of wacks with the ball peen hammer and it good to go, measured the deck its a 40" so it good I wanted a 38" to 42" couldn't be better. Slide it under the CS kind of lined it up and it going to be just like factory just need to fabricated a couple of hitch mounts and a lift the CS mule is just right

If you mount it like on the AC you only have to make a front mount on the axel and there is a lift eye on it also.

Hi Rad, yep that's my plan it shouldn't hard at all, biggest thing is there is no lift on the CS but I know how to make one

Can you take the tilt from the AC front axel and use it, if not I have a junk front axel that you could have for shipping.

Thanks Rad, I have everything on the Allis the mount is part of the mule drive and I'm going to look into removing it and checking it over but on the other hand it will not be hard to attach a mount to the CS mule drive the Allis/Simplicity deck is very similar to the PK deck so no real engineering problems just a bit of fabricating and figuring out the right length belt and of course the lift going to look at the Allis or a Simplicity lift see if it can be retrofitted

Welded the hitch mounts onto the PK hitch assy put a couple of bolts in and ran the CS out for a test drive and its going to be good, now to figure out the right length drive belt and to see if its going to mow

Looks like you should have it forward a couple inches or so to clear the rear tire when you lift the deck.

Hi Rad yes I'm thinking your right I don't know if it will hit the tires but after I got it welded and had t outside I was wishing it were a couple of inches forward

OH yes hence the LH discharge deck if I could have used a RH I'd have used a Sears Suburban deck

Wish you were close I'd take them off your hands this deck has been patch in 3/4 places and has more hole in it that need patching

Hooray it mows found a belt the right length after several tries fired up the CS drove out and engaged the deck runs smooth so off for a trial cut, it mows good made a couple of rounds decided I should have the hearing protectors so got them much better mowed another 15 minutes and it was time to get home and help Sharon. I'm very happy now just have to modify the hitch mounts to move the deck forward a couple inches and then hunt down another belt Went back to the shop and mowed another half hour its a keeper, after mowing now I think that it could handle a 48" deck

Was in this morning and finished mowing around the shop the Country Squire did a fine job it looks good around there now for the 4th of July

I have a 48" deck on a 7112 with a K301 and works good. If you find a 48" deck it will fit with no other alterations except a different belt.

Or at least wash it, yes it'll get a paint job have to patch a few rusted thru areas first, most likely this fall but will power wash it soon

I am surprised the deck rusted through. AC has the heaviest decks I have ever seen.
Sure looks like a fun mower!
