Going to pick it up this Saturday. Right now it has a snow blade on the front. Looks all complete and original. Only question I have is it has a Wisconsin engine on it. Everything I have seen so far indicates that they used Briggs. We're Wisconsin,s on many of them or just a few years. The tires are good along with the belts. Crack in the handlebars but easily fixed. Gave $75. for it because I want one. I will post pictures as soon as I get it home.

Could not hold off till Saturday. Picked it up last night and found out it is a Simplicity Model L from 1949-50. The engine has been replaced from a Briggs to a 1970 Wisconsin BKN 7 horse. It is a five speed machine and is in very good condition except for the cracked handlebars. Fixing those today. Pictures to follow later today.

Here are a few pictures.

Haven't had good weather to work in the garage but decided that I could not water any longer. Went out today and pulled the cover off the mag and it is putting out a nice blue spark. Then I pulled the gas tank, settlement bowl and carb. Could not believe that they were all clean. Pulled the oil bath air cleaner and water ran out so I cleaned it and put clean out in it.
Put everything back together and on the third pull it fired right up. No smoke, runs smooth and sounds great. Looking forward to putting this thing to use but still going to persue finding an original Briggs model N.

That's awesome!
The quality built into those old machines is something not seen in todays "throw away" world.
And its still just as useful today as it would have been back then if you can find attachments for it - which shouldn't be hard to do.

Nice looking machine.
Elderly friend of mine has one sitting in his barn.
He gave it to me a good while back , just have not gone got it.
