I have not seen it. My son was at a place where this was at and the fella is trying to sweeten the deal with this welder. Miller welder, with a continental 4 cylinder engine. Worth looking at ??? No idea if it runs. Owner said arc was getting weak last time it was used. Who knows when that was. ?? Any way, any thoughts on this unit. I have never seen one or know anything about the them. Ideas on value. ?
This deal includes a 1950 bullet nose 4 door studebaker. Suicide rear doors. Car needs a major over haul.
Ideas please.

Noel.

Well it was sold to some one else. Would have been neat to get. But I have lots of other things to do around home. So just as well.

Those old welders can sometimes turn into a money pit or parts are NLA. An internet acquaintance in Florida bought a Hobart like mine and I was trying to walk him thru his problems with it. Most of the ceramic insulators for the current resistor were broken and he wound up having to make plaster molds and make his own with the few that were still whole, which he did a fine job of. The fine current rheostat was burned and open so after a wide internet search he finally found one that was close enough in resistance it works for him. The insulators and rheostat were NLA so he had to make do.
