Got this yesterday from Amazon. Ive seen plenty of demonstrations of the machine and i wanted a stick welder again,,,the tig torch was optional and wife suggested buy torch now , it wont be cheaper down the road.
Voltage 110 /220
I’ll review the stick function later on,, i dont have argon for the tig and i have never used tig so junior will be teaching me

Looks like it will be a nice piece of equipment for you, Jazz! Looking forward to seeing how you progress learning the TIG.

I am by far too shaky any more to even think about learning TIG or even stick welding which I used to do a lot of. Wouldn't mind having a plasma cutter though! My old Lincoln MIG still does as good as the operator can do!

I've heard nothing but good about ArcCaptain, both welders and their plasma cutters. Their multiprocess welder is DC only, so aluminum has to be done with spool gun as you can't TIG aluminum unless you have AC option, which this one doesn't have. About $300 less than my HF Omnipro 220 that is also only DC. I bought a spool gun for my Omnipro 220 and makes aluminum welding pretty easy.

A steady hand required for plasma cutter as well. There are methods such as using a wand to steady hand,,seen sign painters use wand for lettering and drawi g straight lines .
The signpainter term for that is a "mahlstick". I painted signs for a long time. All I would probably do is straight cuts with a plasma cutter and set up a guide.

Made my first one out of an aluminum arrow and a superball---LOL! Don't remember what happened to it. An Oglala Indian journeyman I worked with gave me a fancy 3 piece one!

At work I’ll c clamp a straight edge and use that to guide the plasma torch.

They also make tips with little wheels to help keep it a constant distance away from the metal.
