Went to an estate auction yesterday that had a lot of small engine and garden tractor items along with aprox 20 garden tractors. I was planning on just buying one GT but ended up buying 3 GT's a MF7, MF10 and a MM110. All 3 need some work to be running. The MM the restoration was started but never finished.

I was not planning on buying the Minneapolis Moline but it went cheap. I also picked up a pair of Brinly garden dics', 12" wheel weights, and part of 3 point set up. The 3 point set up i plan to put on my MF14.

You did good! I would have grabbed any one or all three myself!

A long overdue update on these project tractors. The MM 110 just needs a lever for the PTO to be done. The engine needed a starter/generator, new carb, fuel pump, ignition coil, plug wire, and spark plug. Engine runs good just smokes a little which may be due to the Marvel Mystery oil in the gas. image000001.jpgimage000000.jpg. I could not find a MM bottom seat cushion listed for the tractor, I did some measuring of the seat cushion I just purchase for my Case 530 it ended up being close enough to use.

The MF 10 was just put in the garage this am to start on. Going by the serial number image000000.jpg this is a 1967. My other MF 10 is a 1966. I put on a starter/generator from a parts MF12 tractor and the engine turns over and feels like decent compression. I plan on cleaning up the carb, installing a new plug and see if it will start. The wiring and switch seem to still work. I am not planning on repainting this one, the hood and grill are in good shape they just need cleaned up and polished.

Here is an updated picture of the Case 530 after the hood decals installed. image000002.jpgI need to swap the rear tires side to side to widen the stance. They are too far in to install both fenders correct. I am waiting on a hydraulic fitting for the power steering.

I ended up changing the oil in the MF10, cleaned the carb, and put in a new spark plug. After installing a starter/generator from a parts tractor, it started right up and sounds good. I need to replace they fuel pump, new battery, and correct belt for the generator.

I had a major dilemma today on which auction to attend. There were 3 auctions listed within a 2 hr drive from home all with GT's listed. Due to snow on the ground and my trailer parked for the winter I went to the closest auction. I ended up not buying any GT's but did buy a model 416 Haban sickle mower.

IMG_20221119_132031364.jpgIt is missing the rear pipe and mount for the drawbar. I plan to see if it can be adapted to my MF14, if not I will have to find a JD to buy. Looking at the time line it has been a year since going to an auction. Last year the weather was much warmer though, today it was mid 20's with a NW wind blowing.

It won’t work, you can ship it to 1579 Nodd Road Emerald PEI.
