Been Busy D-160

In July my wife found a GT on CL and asked me about it. I told here that it needed some work but the price was good and it is one that I would love to own. She just said, let's go get it, so I contacted the fellow and made the deal.
The tractor is a D-160, 1974 model with the k-341 Kohler. Turns out the owner had the engine blow a hole in the side of the block the size of a grapefruit. I got a front snow blade, Onan B series, and some other odds and ends in the package. Turns out that someone had dropped something down the intake on the Onan and beat one of the Pistons up. I found another fellow that had a good K-341 in another GT that he was selling so I grabbed it.
The deck needed some repairs and the three points had been removed but I built what I needed for the three point and repaired the deck. Slowly cleaned and repainted as I went and now it runs great again.

Thank you.
I really enjoy working on these things and bringing them back to their former glory. Always wanted a D series and now I am starting on a 416-8. Just needs an engine. Already got one lined up.

Got a neighbor that is just a couple years older than me and spends his days watching soaps. Just don't get it. I worked on computers sense 1967, yep, key punch. Gave it up 12 years ago and got back outside. Never looked back. Didn't spend all those years only on computers though, had a stretch in the oil Fields as a high pressure line welder/mechanic/painter among other jobs over the years. Nothing like being outside and being creative.

Nice looking D-160 there. Likely that B series Onan had an air filter housing screw back out & sucked down the intake. Happens quite a lot. I always use tooth washers and medium strength loctite on them. Even better, if you could drill some hex head screws and safety wire them.
