Decided since It likely will be a while before I  find the rest of the tines I need for my mustang tiller I'm going to go ahead and begin the process of restoring my 62' Bolens 600.

Have alot to do before this looks like new again like getting a paint code, getting decals remade , rebuilding the engine ect. But hope to have this done by the end of July. I've had this since 2011 and it has always been one of the tractors I wanted to display as it really is an important tractor in Bolens history and now that I finally have the Chrome Hood Ornaments to complete it I can now begin the process :)

Engine Removed today....

Nice Bolens there. Knowing you that thing will have every bearing and seal gone thru, and every nut and bolt refurbished. Should shine for the next 100 years. Have fun refurbishung it to showroom shine... and then some.

Is that a centrifugal clutch or a flat belt spot on that pulley?

Thats for rope start

I think Alan is asking about the output side. You have a v belt groove by the engine, then a flat spot, then something I can't make out on the end. He/we were wondering if there was a centrifugal clutch inside there. I was thinking friction drive reverse but the part at the outside looks like that could be the rev too.

Thanks guys
Mower was at Rays Mower shop in Boyertown PA , got it a few years before they auctioned all their used stuff .

Nice machine, I just came across a 62 bolens 600, but it was missing the chrome hood ornament and it had a replacement 7hp briggs instead of the 6hp so I passed on it, darn shame too because I like the look of that tractor!
