Case 224 and log grapple

It's real nice out there so I thought I would get the grapple out to see what it would do. Hooked it on the boom pole behind the Case 224. Think it'll work real well. First log is pine. Front end of tractor did not try to come up.


Went to another pile and grabbed an oak log.


My hand will give you an idea of diameter. From my palm out is about 7".


It's about 6' long.

That's funny Kenny I was going to ask you over on my thread if you tried it yet lol.

Hadn't had time with decent weather until today, Jason. It works, that's the main thing. Could be heavier built. But that's what I had.

Hey now you know, you can always make an upgraded version if you wish. I think I used 3/8" pipe & ran an a 1/2" drill bit through it then used 3/4" threaded rod. Tightened it up nicely.

Think this will pick up all the tractors want to handle. Not a big need except for the logs in the middle of the load as they get dumped.
