Took the Case to my sons place and hooked up the trailer. Son did some work on my ranger truck, and figured be a good time to put the winter tires on, while the truck was on the hoist !!!! So used the Case to move tires from one place to the other. Took the battery out of the YT16H ford grass cutting tractor while at the mini barn getting the tires. So had a good day. Greased the driveshafts and front end on truck, adjusted the rear drum brakes too, while on hoist. More stuff tomorrow stuff done tomorrow. Hopefully. New ramp not to long ago at mini barn, and ya, just a week or so before hurricane Fiona.

I've always liked the Case G.T.s but for me they are a PIA to get on and off of.
You have a purty one. I'd take it in a heartbeat.

She's a beauty, Noel, glad to see it getting a little workout! That Ford tractor uses an automotive battery? The ramp is probably dried out now to put your oil or whatever you treat them with, isn't it? What are those ag tires with the blue rims off of?

Yes. It takes a full size battery that one Doug. My MF 14/16, JD 140H3, Ford LGT100 take full size battery’s. My LGT 165 Ford takes a Honda Civic car battery. Both Case tractors and the MF12 take the lawn and garden tractor batteries.
Ramp wood still green yet I’d say. Only cut this past summer. I’ll wait till next year to put something on it.
Those tires and wheels are off a Kubota farm tractor. The tractor is shipped to dealers with very undersized front and rear tires for shipping. The normal front and rear tires are shipped separately. Then put on by the dealer. The ones you see there are front ones that come on those shipped tractors. They are 5 X 12 size. So, I you had narrow garden tractor rear wheels, you could put these tires on those wheels.
There I think I got it all. Eagle eye Doug strikes again. Hehe.

Perty or not they have to earn their keep but some should still get special attention. I never thought about getting off of a Case the way the seat sits inside the fenders. I always liked that. I guess you could roll yourself out.

I run two tractors with old truck batteries with no problems. One of them is 8 years old.

My first LT, a late 1960's MTD eight hundred was a housewarming gift from my mom and she bought it from her brother in law after he had mowed with it for at least 10 years. That was in 1980. My uncle built a automotive size battery bracket on the back bolted to the drawbar. Longer battery cables and he was all set! I ran it that way probably 10 years at least, then for a few years I would just jump start it and hope I didn't kill the engine where I couldn't get my truck close enough to jump---LOL! I did end up putting a LT-GT battery in it at some point. It is still in a shed waiting to be put to work again some day. Probably won't be a mower though. If automotive batteries would fit, I wouldn't even mess with the LT-GT ones.

Interesting about those shipping tires and wheels, Noel! The shipping price difference is worth it to the company to have 2 shipments and sacrificial wheels and tires on the tractor!

Could be for height reduction on flat bed trailer too Doug. The regular wheels may come on the same flat bed shipment. I’m not sure on that.

Noel
We have a large JD dealership near me. I’ve seen tractors come in with the smaller tires mounted and the larger tires chained down on the same trailer.
That makes sense that all would come on the same trailer! That's a pretty cool score to get those tires for some narrow tire GT applications! I would dig seeing pics of them on a GT! I always liked the old 4x4 trucks with the "Pizza cutter" tires! Hard to stop those old setups fat tires will be stuck long before those narrow tire ones! I owned this truck for a couple years in the mid 2000's but had to sell it unfortunately. That is the tire setup I'm talking about.
