Kinda odd looking but sure would cool the fluid down. Neat idea. He said in his video that it cools the fluid down 25 degrees on a 100 degree day.

I measured my 224 once or twice back a few months ago when I was cutting grass. If I remember right it varied 120 to 140 F. Apparently it could get to 160 to 170 F, I read some where.

Lance you have to take into account the guy with the additional cooling might be it Texas or Az where day time temps are regularly 90*F plus big difference for us here in the northern latitudes, I've never worried about the Case oil temps either but I have noticed that the low end hydros used in the average lawn tractor definitely loses performance on hot days if the hydro isn't kept clean of dirt and grass clippings
Hi Noel yes that will definitely reduce the temps on one of my airplane engine it had no oil cooler and on 80*f+ days the oil temp would go up never to red line but more than I liked to see I install a fined cooling sleeve on the oil filter and it did about the same bring the temps down
It was similar to this but just used a worn gear clamp to hold it on
