Sweet cars/engines. Some all out race engines straight from the factory.......
Saw my first car, a 68 2 door fastback Chev Impala. Mine was a wore out gift from my dad. I learned how to work on cars with it. It must have been factory ordered with the drivetrain. It came with the 250 6 cylinder, with the 2 speed powerglide. I never saw that model Impala with 6 cylinder. 2nd gear went out on the Powerglide trans. But my brother drove it all over with only 1st gear. Engine was pretty much toast when I got it.
I switched it out to a 327 truck motor that I rebuilt, with a 3 speed Turbo 400 trans....
I kind of wish I still had it.
