Looks like some great ideas I might steal for the trailer we drug home today! Jack works but is rough. I'll look at fixing it up and possibly modifying like yours, or getting a new one and still modifying it like yours---LOL! I like the "power lift" jack idea real well, Rick!Nope don't want one. I also like using a block and able to slide a little for misalignment,
Also I removed the crank handle and replaced it with a 3/8 drive socket. Secured it with a hitch pin.
Cut the end off of a short extension and ground three flats on the end so It stays tight in the drill.
Put that into a cordless drill and crank away. I also altered the crank and keep it stuffed under the seat for backup.
Believe or not that's exactly what I use..My block is 6”x 6” creosote old highway guardrail post. About 12” long. My dad picked up a bunch of those about 50 years ago when they were putting new guardrail in close to his house.
