Flat tire on Ferguson.

Of course my own fault. Was going start widening this spot so I can get the trailer thru. Full of old junk and wood. Of course some of the pieces of wood have nails in them. So at the end of the third pass, I saw a piece of wood hanging on to the front tire, and going around with it. So I said to my self, there is only one answer as to why that piece of wood is hanging on to that tire, yep, a nail. Any way, got the wheel off, got the tube out, no patching stuff at sons place so took the tube home and patched it. I’ll put it back together today hopefully. And hopefully it holds air. Tires and tube were put on new when we got the tractor about 7 years ago this month, I think. Never had a minutes trouble with them. Don’t even think we ever check air pressure. Any way that’s the way it goes. Some glad it was not one of the loaded rear tires. I wouldn’t be fixing that. I’d be calling my tire repair buddy I have.
Gunna look into hiring a loader and dump truck to dig it all out and haul it away.

When I worked for DNR one year we opened up a new picnic area. Full of Honey Locust cleared with a dozer when it was froze solid. Started having flats one after the other mowing it. Found some tire liners at a Firestone tire store. They stopped a bunch of those thorns but not all of them.
 
Easiest tire I ever had to break the bead. And get the tire off the rim to get the tube out. 4 ply tire. But the stem of the tube was difficult to get out and back in the wheel. Tire size is 4:00 x 19. Not much room to work. All back together now. Will see tomorrow if it’s flat. That will tell my workmanship. Hehe.
