Flymo

I paid $30 for the one I have now, about 3 years ago.
After I found the first one several years ago I went to the local mower dealer and asked him if he knew about Flymos. He said yes, he had been a dealer and just several months before had hauled all the Flymo parts in inventory, except engine parts, to the trash dump. Handles, decks, fans, etc, all buried in the landfill.

That suck

That sucks. That all those parts are gone now.
I need an air filter for mine, oval, foam.

One good thing, I believe the air filter is an engine part, not exclusive to Flymos. Some Flymos did have air cleaners with tubes that looked like vacuum cleaner hose that drew clean air from handle level.
Mine had the oval, foam type and is a Tecumseh part.

I don't remember which air filter I have, u think mine has the vacuum cleaner hose style, but still looks like the Tecumseh filter will fit. I know I was missing the cover.

I believe the ones that had the vacuum cleaner style had the actual air cleaner up at the handle with only the flex hose connector attached to the carb. The hose was supported a couple of places on the handles between the carb & cleaner with plastic clamps. The flex hose was made from a type of plastic that didn't hold up well exposed to the elements. The first one I had was in good shape because it had hung in a semi dark, dry basement most of it's life.
