a couple recently bought the house, 4 houses up the road. I was talking with them they were looking for old windows to make a green house. perfect I have a bunch left over old ones to get rid of. they saw my tractors and said they found something in the woods and was going to scrap pile. I wasn't expecting to see one of these. too bad the grill and hood is missing. it will definitely make a cool piece of yard art.

@CRF6179 any ideas?

They're cute when they're quiet.

There are probably pieces that an Amigo junky is gonna ask about.

(Who wants to bet someone get interrested enough to start looking for parts enough to put it back together?)

unfortunately everything is rusted solid on it, I am sure there are some salvageable parts. I searched the Internet last reading up, seems like around 2000 were made with Various models and only less than 100 are still around, not sure how correct that is but I would say it is good save.
I found some junk rims and tires I will bolt up to it, and it will get parked in the garden. see if any more parts show up

It's a shame someone didn't get to it long ago. They are a very unique unit.
If it were mine I'd keep it stashed in a corner of the shop. The openings in the side of the casing are where the independent brakes were located. So of course the hubs, bakes and pedals are gone.
Undoubtedly the components inside the transaxle are in bad shape by now. The planetary assemblies would have been nice to save.. The drive shaft tube/frame member has a chunk out of it. the transaxle cover has a corner broken.
You still have the seat rubber and the fiberglass dash doesn't look broken. There appears to be a right angle drive attached to the front PTO. Mine didn't have that. It just has a pulley attached to it.
If you are curious enough I have printed off some literature and a parts/price list from 1961. Odd how no one wants to honor that price list!!

Yep That's me.

The internals are probably too far gone. Especially the planetary assemblies. Supposedly there were skid loads of spare parts at one time. I have never tracked down who has them. There is a show in northern Indiana that attracts Amigo owners but I;ve failed to contact any of them or been aable to attend that show.

thanks for posting the pics, now it makes with the brakes/hubs. it looks like before this was dumped in the woods someone took some useful parts off, which explains some of the missing bolts. maybe they had another one???!!!.
being it's only 4 houses up the road and my family has been here since the 30s. I am going to track down some of the old neighbors, never know? the missing parts might be some where. obviously it will never run and drive but it would be cool to piece it back together.
