I picked this up Saturday, believe to be a 2002 3184, 18 hp Kohler Command, all hydrostat, shaft driven, 775 hrs. My son's friend said he was tired of it. The story is he had it worked on, fuel pump replaced twice, but it would stop running after 15 or 20 mins, he said like vapor lock.
I rolled off trailer, checked oil and figured I would have to jump pack it. Nope, hit button and it spun over. A couple small shots of giggle juice and it started and ran. It did have a noticeable lifter tick, but after a couple starts, it has quieted down. Does have a miss, maybe needs plugs, but also has old fuel.
Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but everything seems to work, does mow decent.
I have a buddy that may have a parts tractor, he said he may have extra spool so I can add maybe a 3pt and he may give me the hydraulic front snow plow.
