Here’s our pulling sled that me and a buddy built 2 winters ago. It is made from quarter inch angle iron, 1/8 inch steel plate (for the sled part),harbor freight 1200lbs winch, and a rear axel to a small trailer. We had almost all the material to build it, we only needed to by the winch. We decide it would be much easy just by making the box go up with the winch instead of gears. The winch has the perfect speed for this. The sled weights about 600 pounds without weight. We have about 250 pounds of weight to put in it. The one problem we had with it was it was not able to stop us. So we had taken a big chain and thrown it under the sled to create drag. This had solved our problem and it works just as good as the one at the shows.
