Got Some Seat Time Blowin' Snow

I finally got to fire up the Craftsman GT6000 with the 40" MTD blower on it. Last night we got 6.5" on top of the 2"-4" left from our Christmas snow for a depth of approx. 9". Couldn't have picked a better day to blow snow, sunny, light powder snow, very little wind, and warm at 28*F/29*F. I'll get a video put together in the next day or so.

You do a job of keeping the blower from scalping your driveway. What skids you using ?

Our driveway rarely freezes before a snowfall so the original narrow skids would dig in and throw gravel all over. Not wanting to hear that sound again I add some 1 1/2" flat bar to them and raised the blower up an inch or so. It floats pretty good now. I found some pics of them.

Had the blower out this morning after getting another 5" of new snow last night. Cleared a path on the deck with a scoop shovel. This snow had a little ice crust on top.

Took these pics yesterday. After blowing the snow off Thursday, the drive and walkway had cleared up by Friday morning.

Those are actually Recycle bins for cans, glass, paper, and plastics.
