I hope it fits. And it needs some work of course. Fed up with the blower. Always broke. Thinking the thrower will have less moving parts and be a bit lighter on the front end. Don’t see these every day where I live, so I was quick to get it.

I like them. My John Deere has a thrower and so does my Massey Ferguson. I find they work just as good as blowers. That is another reason I went looking for a thrower for the Ford.
I added these to my MF thrower and helped with taking some of the load off the engine. So instead throwing twice, it throws four times, granted the two paddles I installed don't throw as much as the originals, but it did help. Less load on the engine, seemed to help with not plugging as much, did not help with throwing distance.

Do you guys get a lot of snow and wet snow? Here a couple of times per winter I get snowfalls that can leave me with some banks at 2' high and with this the bank on the street side can get a foot more and it gets pretty dense. Also, thanks climate changes, we are getting more and more wet snow every year, falling wet and/or melting really quickly (and not enough) before I get the time to remove it.

Although the snowthrower is working properly with light snow (whatever the quantity), as soon as it is packed it gets challenging (overwhelming the engine) or with wet snow it barely enters the blower (gets simply pushed forward like a blade would) and if it gets inside it won't be thrown more than 4-5 feet away.

I can't wait to see how the 2 stage will be woking this winter!

I dont seem to have pics of the rubber trick but its a well known modification for single stage throwers, basically you cut up an old mudflap and add strips to the paddles so they 'lightly' seal against the housing, that keeps the center of thrower clear and there is better airflow helping to throw the snow.

I live in fricken alberta,,, I doubt many here get more snow than me..LOL
Wet/Dry it dont matter, and 2' is not considered a snowbank... thats a skiff... Ive already had 14" of snow. I'll take a single stage any day, if you have one that only throws 4-5 feet there is something not working right. even my old RaM when it had 6.6hp could throw snow at least 10-12 feet without the rubber trick.

Nice.. Ive had both single and two stage.. much preferred the single stage, its a whole lot easier to install/uninstall and it throws very well, especially if you add rubber strips to the paddles in the center.
I agree I think mine works just fine on my GT 235 it’s been through numerous large storms and has never let me down . I do agree it does not like the wet now we get closer to spring but I have a plow for that.
I picked up a JD snow thrower for the older 100 and 200 series tractors at an auction for $20. It needed work but for that price had to buy it. The inside was rusted thru along the bottom so I removed the factory plate
bent and cut the steel to repair it . Then I changed the thrower drive gear from a 48 to a 38 tooth and extended JD’s little chute 10 inches.
Anxious to try it this year on the 210. 6D66BA35-480C-48B1-9933-9F905C60BCD1.jpegE59DDCB6-CD4B-4C25-BFF0-AB2664DA507D.jpeg2C964DA5-3DB3-4342-BCC1-D7BE17E39580.jpeg13452235-7FB5-42BC-A51B-5BF461D9C24A.jpegBD676073-B446-4843-A38A-6E1A390FE4F1.jpeg2D94537D-9345-4CF6-AE18-7AB1A52E5B00.jpegA9F460F0-E5D1-4F5F-8C99-CEB890C1443D.jpeg3DC73A06-0153-4694-B437-946076854856.jpegAEEC1BCD-ED67-4A63-A785-C9352F98E8D5.jpeg28214A83-8E10-4AFC-B711-730ABB90474E.jpeg

This is the kind of snow we get. Not all the time, but it happens. This was three years ago. Last year we got very little.

Kster526. I like your idea of extending the chute, but not so sure on the gear change. When you get into deep snow it will take a lot of power to keep the engine and auger revs up. If they don’t stay up, your throwing distance suffer.

the Ford two stage is a huge beast of a thing to have hanging off the front of the tractor, you need a considerable amount of rear ballast to go along with it and its a beech to put on, they do work well tho I'll giv'em that, but a single is alot easier to deal with in general...

If you don't have chains and weight on that ford set up, that Lance has shown, you may as well leave it in the garage, or where ever, cause you are not going any where. I tryed it once with mine. Couldn't even get turned around to get to the garage, had to back down to the garage.

You definitely are getting more snow than me! I will probably have to use even more counterweight than you do with your Ford, my quick hitch puts my accessories further ahead of my tractor! On the other hand, I will not have to handle the installation/removal of the blower myself, I'll simply have to align it and the hydraulics will do the job.

Lance: Am I crazy or the Ford LGT-165 and the MF 1655/1855 are about the same weight but the 1655/1855 seems bigger?

the tractors??? the MF 1655/1855 are stretched a little compared to the MF 1650 but yes they are similar in weight to an LGT165

Not sure how it will work ,haven't used it yet. Will be mounting it on the 210 to try it but will also be putting the tried and true blower on my GT 235 just in case. I usually put the blade on the 210.If I could find a good running 16 HP from a 216 I would swap them but the 10 HP runs great so that will be what I use for the trial.

Last year my JD 37" snowthrower on my 214 threw the upper part of it's chute, being in a hurry and my JD 47" not being useable I installed the taller 47" chute on the 37". It was a really nice upgrade, no downsides at all! Your's is quite taller tho.
