About 3 years ago I bought a Bolens G9 from my wife's cousin that his dad bought when the tractor was just a few years old. G9s were only made in 1976 and 1977. The carb and air cleaner were missing. I found a carburator but I found a replacement carb and the engine ran great. I still need the air cleaner. I disassembled the tractor and put it on a pallet where it still is. I need to start getting it back together before tearing into the other new projects I've been gathering up. I hope to get the rolling chassis back together quickly.

where a bouts are you located? There is most of a Bolens Husky (IDK my Bolens, might be same series as yours not sure) on Champaign IL Craigslist with a running Tecumseh cast iron, looks like it would have enough left to ride around on, no hood, no deck for $125.
What engine is on that tractor?

I'm in Hudson NC about 15 miles from I-40 between Hickory and Morganton. My G9 has an 8HP Briggs & Stratton engine on it. The engine is dated Jan 1976. My deck is in pretty rough shape but the rest of tractor is not bad. I can de-rust and wire weld so I can fix the deck. I got the shaft driven tiller with it and the tines are not very worn so it must not have been used in sandy or rocky soil or not much at all. So far about the only progress is getting the front wheels restored and new Carlisle tires almost like the originals installed on20190101_132158.jpg20190101_132108.jpg the wheels.

Here's a before shot of the G9 not showing the deck or tiller. It has no lights.
