Grader Blade

Here's my homemade grader blade. This is built similar to the early Sears grader blade design. Just a lot more heavy duty. The blade is a section of 8" pipe, 3/8" thick. It's 5' wide. I took it off the #2 FF/20 so I could dedicate it to a mower. I will put it back on the #1 FF/20 as it has loaded tires and front weight. I had to grind part of the cutting edge back as the angle of attack made it ride on the rear edge, thus riding up on grass. Should be better now.

That thing looks stout Kenny, you get the cutting edge angle right and it'll dig to China if your not careful.

It won't give, that's for sure! Weighs over 100 lbs, so doesn't need the feet pushing down. Just loose traction as it lifts the tractor!

Looks good Kenny. That is a chunk of steel there. I was hoping to build a belly blade but settled for a 3pt blade instead.
