Was wondering why frankie, aka grunt, was not running very well lately. Even went to the point of adjusting idle mixture screw, because it worked fine under load. Then I said ah ha, I haven’t cleaned the plug in a while. When I bought grunt it was not running. And at the time bought two the same. So picked the best one and made it work from the two of them. Grunts engine smoked bad. Over the years I added this and that to the gas and oil to see if oil burning would slow down. Which it did but still burned some. So every now and then I had to clean the carbon off the plug. You could tell when it acted up it was time to clean the plug. So had not cleaned the plug in quite awhile. So today was the day. Makes ya wonder how it was running at all. Typical grunt, just keeps going.

Yup fill the combustion chamber with carbon would increase the compression ratio---LOL! Yeah Noel, it's a wonder it was running! Easy fix at least. Is that a Kohler?

If you have an O/A torch set the flame to cut, hold the plug in some vise grips, put the tip of the flame to the plug and hit the cutting oxy. It'll look almost new in seconds. It's what I do with my 2 stroke plugs.
