The Harkness was known to make a good job only time will tell

That's what I used on mine to start with and then its plowing I was told plowing in peat ground really shines them up good but I don't know as there is no peat ground near me here

Take it to the beach and plow up the sand. That should scour it clean.
Just don’t go on a busy day. Some people would not understand.

Hi now my Harkness plough is home I am starting to get it tidied up and ready for work This plough is 1 of 3 that I know of .The seem showing is not a fault it is a extended board made at the smiddy where the ploughs were made they were made in the early forties very advanced for their time. the skimmers and knife coulters were unique to the Harkness plough. Started to use flap disc on board plenty more work to do

Wee bit more done, trying out where things fit will be alright on the day, flap disc taken to disc and board wee bit rough but original disc is roughly where it should be needing new bolts to fit bracket properly each day has its fun time, but like it when a plan comes together , waiting on new bolts to fit new ploughshare

CRF beat me to the suggestion. If you can find a soft red brick they work wonders for cleaning up sticky spots. Sold my tractor and plow but I have the soft red brick in the shed.

More of my Harkness plough New bracket fitted new pin in place instead of a bolt and nut landside borrowed as a template so I can get one made

Another wee bit done today weight block on tractor painted Kubota dark blue ,the rest I sprayed on my Harkness plough on bits that I used the flap disc on looks ok real colour of plough is Fordson 27 N dark blue now waiting on blacksmith making a landside of a pattern that I borrowed

Another wee bit done today basic landside made My blacksmith will tidy it up then it will be fitted and whole plough will be rubbed down and painted wee rose to cheer you up it is called faithful friend

I just put it on as wallpaper. The wife will see it first thing when she boots up the computer in the morning.
