Earlier in Nov I pulled the engine out of the PK 1620 to replace the flywheel seal that was leaking, got it back together and plowed snow for about 1 hour discovered oil dripping off the tractor frame the engine etc I was not a happy camper. Remove the engine a second time and found I made a mistake instead of buying OEM seals I bought the less expensive aftermarket one DON'T DO THAT it was leaking at the seal when I got the OEM seal just out of curiosity I measured the OD of both seals the OEM seal measured 1.761`" the aftermarket one was 1.732" discovered (to late) that I could push the aftermarket seal in with my finger not so with the OEM seal had to use the seal installation tool. Anyway got the seal installed and the engine buttoned up and reinstalled in the tractor yesterday, this afternoon connect the fuel hose installed the battery and tried the starter it started right up I ran it a couple of times for about 15 minutes total so far and no oil leaks yet time will tell but I pretty sure this time is the charm

Glad you got it taken care of and found the fix. I bought a set of O Rings last summer from HF back in the summer. I thought going home this was a big mistake. You know the specs can’t be that trustworthy on these things. I haven’t used them yet but like you it’s probably a gamble but a costly one in time and work.

Their O ring kits are not that expensive and they do OK in a lot of places but I don't use them on hydraulic lines or engines. Box is about empty so need to get a set of brand name O rings to have on hand. A lot of stuff made over seas any more is a gamble to get the right size. Have trouble converting from us standard to metric in the mfg process.

Before I buying parts on ebay I check the sellers feedback and how many of the part they have sold. generally if their feedback is decent and they have sold a number of the part to others its a good sign. And that's what I did with the aftermarket seals I bought his feedback was /is excellent and he had sold a number of these seals, when I discovered the PTO seal just slipped in with light finger pressure I contacted him he was great was sorry and sent me out a replacement seal right away, he thought someone had picked the wrong seal which could of happened or his supplier messed up. I missed that the flywheel seal was also undersized as I used the installation tool nd didn't realize it was going in way to easy, my mistake live and learn as they say

That sucks for a 5-10 dollar seal...
