Did a little tilling for a neighbor the other day and it started making a funny whirring sound in reverse and would keep making it for a short time in forward. Finally found it was in the PTO dog clutch and figured out it was barely engaging so had to lengthen the adjustment slots in the control quadrant? and that made the noise go away. I guess with the slight end play of the brgs and wear on the fork it was enough to pull the dog back enough when the thrust reversed.
