Help with stretched frame steering

I need any tips, help , or ideas , on a steering problem I have . Working on a project of putting a Fairbanks-Morse [ Salt Block / Governed ] , style engine in an old Moto-Mower frame . Had to stretch the frame six inches for the fit . My problem is figuring out the stretch of the steering linkage . Sounds simple but it's got me stumped so far . Took pic's of what I'm doing , showing the type of set- up it is , and how it was hooked up before I started . Can get enough pull in one direction , but not near enough in other direction on each thing I try so far . Any one done this before with this style steering ? Thanks for any help .

I would try moving the rear pivot point (blue tape) further forward to get a side to side movement of the tie rod. As it is the tie rod will try to pull the right side to the rear no matter which way you turn the steering wheel. If you move the pivot point forward it will also make the steering much quicker because the pivot point will travel in a longer arc in response to steering input compared to the original location.
At least that is the way I see it.
That or move the axle back 6".

Thanks for the input. I tried using an adjustable link coming of the two holes in the front of the bracket , but still couldn't get what I needed . That's why I keep thinking I am missing something here , that seems like it should be more simple . Thanks again , I will try your idea again .

CRF6179 , Your idea worked great . Put an extension on the original bracket , moving the pivot point forward six inches the same as what I extended the frame , and back in business again . Again , Thanks for the Help . Sometimes when I'm working on these project's , I wonder if I'm getting to old to do this stuff anymore . Cause I just get stumped on a simple thing any more , or just over thinking it to much . Oh what the Hell , it's still fun to do though . Thanks again .

Go ahead and post more of what you are doing. Especially with pictures.
