Help!

searching the web for a lift cylinder. any resources for Cub 7254 part# 717-3504/917-3504

The lift cylinder looks close to a 3PT hydraulic top-link. Some of the web sites mention the full details like the stroke distance, and the mounting. If you run into problems finding the OE version, the aftermarket could be an option to match up.
 
Never tried it but read an article some place where those can be rebuilt. Have to grind the weld off where they are welded together. Mark them so they are lined up the same when they go back together. With a band saw cut through the welded joint. Replace the seals, line it back together with the seal at the far end of the joint. Clamp it together. Use lots of cold water shop rags on the cylinder to keep the heat off the new seals. Weld the joint shut a little at a time in different spots around the joint. Key is to keep the seals cool. When I asked my welding shop friend about it he said heck yes it will work. No problem.
