Going by the pictures I'd get it running and use it. Willing to bet that's what the builder had in mind.

Quite a few hours to fabricate that machine. Great deal for someone, hope it comes with a parts list.

as a metal fab guy myself I would bet he worked in the trade.... most of it is simple cut and weld but the hood would have required a press brake to get the bends nicely rounded as they are. Nice tractor at a heII of a good price imo.

That would make a good work horse lots of fabricating to build I wonder what tranny they used the model 23 B&S is a good strong engine, looks like the lid over the gas cap was an after thought but with a shot of rattle can you wouldn't notice
