Huh, just huh. Cheap Spreader

At the last flea market Mom bought a $10 broadcast spreader for putting on bags of 20-20-20 on the sweet corn.
I was skeptical as I've never thought they were worth much.
Needed lube in the gearbox and on the axles, but it works good.

We put skirts on the side to keep the fertilizer on the rows, instead of between them.

I remember seeing that tote box, in the Sears attachment brochure, when I was a kid. I about wore the pages out looking through that little booklet! Guess that would have been sometime around 1970. I would have been about 14 at the time. Sure wish I still had that brochure!!

More pictures of that carrier would be appreciated by me and apparently others. Always thinking I need more ways to carry things and all the manufacturers seem to come up with any more is cup holders. Don
I have 3 different manuals for Sears totes. And some pics of the patent for one.

Nice find on a spreader. I've only seen one Sears tote before. A wheelbarrow with an engine & a seat behind it will work for me any day.
