I know that vertical shaft mower are not so desirable but for now its what I have. I was hoping in the meantime to beef it up. By this I mean ag tires and more torque. I love to pull the kids behind it but when I go up a hill in the yard the tires just spin. I also want it to just be more useful overall. Wishful thinking but maybe till or plow with it. Anyone have ideas on wha

The transmission will not stand up to what you want to do with it.

I just sold a 170 to bbuckler for $50 as I restored a 165 Hydro and sold it to a friend. Nice mowers, that is about it.

Thats what I figured. Even with a 38" deck its barely a nice mower for the size of our yard.
