John Deere 214: out of storage

I have had this 214 stored in the hay barn for many years. I stole the coil off of it to get my Cub Cadet 1450 running and haven't gotten around to putting the new coil on it. So today I used the Gator with a home made trailer we use for hauling the hay tedder on to bring it down to the shop to work on. We will see how it goes.

Installed the coil and condenser. The points looked good so I will save the new ones for later. It has really good spark now. I got it to fire on starting fluid, but it wasn't getting any fuel. Finally I remembered that this has a fuel shutoff at the tank. Duh!!!! Once I got fuel to the carb it started right up. Now the bowl gasket is leaking so I'm going to order a new one. I the mean time I will check to see if I can get it to seal.

Bolted all of the pieces back on the tractor. Still needs a few things worked on, but I can put it to work when I need it now. I did get the bowl gasket to seal up for now, but I will still be ordering a new one.
