Found this old brochure for Locke Mowers. I didn't find a date in the booklet. You might be able to date it by the Briggs engine models, 14r6, 8r6, 6r6.

Not sure if Locke is still around, they were a major commercial mower maker, golf course stuff etc.
 
I had a Devere Locke, from what I read, it was a very low production, only saw 1 picture if one just like it.
Some say it was a Toro Whirlwind, but at one time I had a copy of the patent from Devere.

Not a Locke, but learned to drive on this one cutting grass on an estate.

We had one growing up, did an awesome job cutting, albeit short and really only on flat land, but yeah. I keep looking at them around me...but I don't need it.
