Always try to fix before buying. And don’t have the money for new. And it seems all my tractors have loose tie rod ends. So some sort of repair would be good to know.

kinda looks like that was tried in the 2nd picture. Works for a while though..The best ZULU repair seemed to be stainless steel wire for me, but as others stated you need to reach in your pocket.
Cut a slot in a washer, slide it over the small post on the ball then weld the washer to the end which holds the ball in. Running my Sears like that now. Just gotta be careful not to gt it to tight, may have to put a slight bend in the washer to make it a little oval shaped.
I have used this method for several years. Little grease on the ball first. Then use it but don't abuse. Sometimes that is a real thin line.Cut a slot in a washer, slide it over the small post on the ball then weld the washer to the end which holds the ball in. Running my Sears like that now. Just gotta be careful not to gt it to tight, may have to put a slight bend in the washer to make it a little oval shaped.
Uhmmm, she would call the fire company for a rescue. And tell me how help is on the way.Really? You can't afford a new tie rod end?
What if your Honey Bo has to get on the tractor and drive it off your barely breathing chest and she can't steer it?
