Cast iron Briggs? I know a guy who used to have one, I think he said his was like a 1964, was a backup for the newer one he had the magna was more dependable and had a better cut

They were originally sold by mail out of the backs of magazines in the early 1960s. The company went out of business in the mid 1960s. Railroad Salvage Stores in CT, MA, and RI bought up railroad cars full of the GTs and attachments in the late 60s. They assembled them and sold the GTs for $200 and $100 for each of the attachments. They still had them for sale when I left for the Army in late 1975.
I own 2 1/2 GTS and 2 attachments. Mine all have B&S 23D engines but some had the 19D engines. They are kinda common in Eastern CT. There is a Yahoo group for them with at least some information and an owner's manual. BTW, my avatar is my Delux Magna-Trac. I attached the manual that I have. Good Luck, Rick
