Massey 1655 3 Point Hitch Forks

So I haven't started the tear down yet as I'm having fun playing with it yet lol. Hopefully start in January after the holidays. I got these forks from work for $5.00! I'll weld everything solid tomorrow & paint it up. It's a little heavy @ 240-250 lbs all together but it was cheap & will be fine for what I want it for. The frame is 5" C Channel & 39" wide so loader mounts can be added in the future to use on either end. I'm going to transfer the deck lift cylinder to the top link so I can tilt it as well (I'll pick up a better cylinder later as the deck lift cylinder isn't very robust.

I wonder what weight you can carry with such heavy forks, I often find myself overloading the capacity of my 1655's 3 points hitch and I don't even have forks.

BTW if you want a cylinder bigger than the mid lift, those are not expensive IMO : John Deere Replacement Lift Cylinder, Part #AM31362 | eBay

AM31362 : 2.5" bore, 1" rod, 4" stroke, 8" closed length, 2000 psi

It’s not a true test but it lifted me 220 no problem standing on the forks. I think the deck cylinder will be fine since I won’t be lifting much weigh, just me over thinking it lol
