Massey Harris pony bucket

I just bought my first tractor 1952
All fluids changed
Has a bucket up front and runs off pump in the of the tractor hooked to tranny
After fluid changed gear grind, bucket no longer works can slide into the gear but gear s r not spinning when looking at the rear end
? Y is it not working now Whn was perfect before charge fluid
Can I run the bucket and 3 point off the front pump and not use rear pump
Any support would be appreciated

I've not seen a pump like the rear one before (but that doesn't mean much) how is it driven should there be a belt from the PTO pulley to the pump?

My first bet would be air in the system. May have to crack a fitting some place to blead the air out. My take a while too.
