Amazing how long those things last...
Not sure if I be using it a damp or wet location though. Might light you up..

I have one like that.
Mine must be one of the original sawzalls as it has a single speed, it's either "on"or "off". The label under the case talks of "single or 2 speed models". I picked mine up at a garage sale several years ago, man the assortment of blad s I got would be a couple of hundred bucks these days alone. Also came with a bunch of spare new brushes for it. My other one which I bought new probably 25 years ago has the twist lock detachable cord and the spring loaded blade clamp. I gotta say I like that alot better than having to scrounge for an Allen wrench all the time to change blades.....

Ya the ground plug is broke off as well…i really will only use it seasonally to buck up moose carcasses for my pup.
It also came with this piece,,appears to be a guide of sorts..do you have one?

The unit is about 1951 to 1953 vintage…I checked with AI which come up with manufacture date of 2013
its a 6500. serial # 73-164482 which according to another source manufacture date of 1982

My dads old metal cased impact will light you up in damp grass......knocked me on my ass at 16 years old..
Not funny but I remember too when I was young me and a older kid were drilling with an old metal bodied drill of sorts and doing it out in the wet / damp grass and it lit him up. Remember him not even able to shake the drill out of his hand for a bit. And me being a wise young man didn't have a clue to unplug it.
But he was able to get me to stop laughing... ooch....
Honestly still makes me giggle. Had to been there I guess. But that dance he did was amazing..
