I've seen Clinton motors before but not this particular tiller. I had a Clinton outboard but never could get parts for it.
I'd say if it'll turn over and you could get it for a hundred bucks you're laughing....just for the fun of getting it going.
Be informed, I buy lots of junk so I'm not necessarily good advice.
But I had a Clinton 3.5HP engine on it. I could get it to run but not very well. Had low compression. I couldn't find parts to fix it. I believe it's still sitting in the crawl space with all the other engines. I always thought it had a cool style to it. A little "art deco".
I do quite I bit of small engine repair work and this is the first Clinton I’ve had in the shop. After a few hours of cleaning I successfully got it to run. I believe it was made around 1965. It does have the walboro carb on it which gives me a little bit of hope for parts.
I have a few, two have Carter carburetors, same kit as a kohler, one is an early one with carb on one side and exhuast on the other, best part source, eBay.
